PCN

What does PCN mean in a BOM?

A formal notice from a manufacturer that a part is changing or being discontinued. PCNs are the early warning system for obsolescence. But 52% of 2025 EOL events shipped with no PCN at all (Z2Data), so risk must be inferred, not just read.
