MSL
What does MSL mean in a BOM?
A 1-to-6 rating (per J-STD-020) for how much atmospheric moisture a surface-mount component can absorb before it must be baked or reflowed within a set floor time. MSL decides how parts are packed, stored, and handled, and it affects which stock is usable.
